Since taking office, I have met with many vacationers, outfitters, municipal employees and even the Pontiac MRC who have spoken to me about the poor state of multi-purpose roads, especially bridges and culverts leading to different lakes in the area.
Fortunately, the improvement of this infrastructure was one of the promises made by the Liberal Party during the election campaign in 2014. Following the concerns being shared by the community, I was able to discuss this issue with the Minister of Forests, Wildlife and Parks, Laurent Lessard, and, starting in budget 2015-16, our government announced a $10 million funding envelope for infrastructure. This announcement was expected and welcomed by all stakeholders.
This morning, I announced that 23 projects will be funded in the riding of Pontiac in partnership with various agencies, outfitters, ZEC’s, municipalities and the MRC. The bridges and culverts that will benefit will ensure long-term access to outfitters, recreational leaseholders and several lakes in public forests.
I would like to thank all our partners for their participation. What good news!

What a chance this week to be with the mayor and councilors to announce that our government will contribute significantly to financing of the construction of the new City Hall of Litchfield.
Since 2004, the Municipality of Litchfield has been operating in a temporary office similar to modular units found on construction sites. What was supposed to be a temporary solution had become, sadly, permanent. For a municipality that wants to welcome citizens and entrepreneurs, as well as provide a suitable workplace for its employees, that situation was totally unacceptable.
Accordingly, the construction of a new City Hall was among the mayor’s top priorities and one of the very first files that was handed to me after I took office. I am particularly proud of today’s announcement. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Mayor Colleen Larivière for her unwavering commitment to working for the good of all the residents of Litchfield. I cannot wait to see the final result.
My sincere thanks to the residents of Pontiac for putting your trust in me and in the Liberal team. Thank you for believing in me, Philippe Couillard and our vision and ideas. I can assure you that the strong mandate that you provided me with on Monday will resonate in Quebec City as a clear message from the people of Pontiac.
In past few months, I was always able to count on an exceptional team of members, volunteers and supporters that made this victory possible. Rest assured that their contagious energy and dynamism will also be found in my work as MNA over the next four years.
Now the hard work really begins, and it’s time for me to get to work for you!
The election date has been announced, the campaign has started and our work is underway. To start the campaign with a bang, I need your help.

I believe in the potential of Aylmer and the Pontiac and on Sunday, the members of the Quebec Liberal Party believed in me. Marlene and I are humbled and honoured by the trust you have placed in us. Be assured that I will proudly wear the colours of our Party in the next election campaign in the hopes that I will have the privilege to represent you in the National Assembly.
Throughout my nomination campaign, you did not hesitate to share with me your thoughts on how we can improve this great region. I appreciate your insights, and I look forward to working with you over the next few months to continue finding solutions and in time, to fight for you in Quebec City.
Today, the real work starts. Together, we will work towards the next election. I invite all Liberal members of Pontiac to join me, so that we can send a strong and clear message to Québec City and to the Parti Québecois.
Again, thank you so much for the trust you have put in me this weekend. You now have a candidate who will put every ounce of energy to advance the interest of Aylmer and the Pontiac.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. Over the past few months, I have had the opportunity to visit all the wonderful and unique corners of the riding of Pontiac, meeting with Liberals and residents in order to fully understand the challenges, needs and priorities of our residents.
I have decided to enter into this nomination race because I believe in the exceptional potential of our region, and most importantly of its people. Aylmer and Pontiac deserve more than an MNA, they deserve an ambassador who will carry the message of our region in Quebec, someone who will promote our strengths, who will articulate the needs of people here, and will work hard to find solutions.
This site will provide you with general information about my candidacy including my professional and political experience, as well as my priorities in order to improve life in our region. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any of your questions or with your comments and suggestions on how to improve our community.
It would be an honour for me to represent our home in the National Assembly. I hope I can count on your support.
